There weren't any agents in the vehicles. They weren't individually driven in, they were on auto transport trucks. I saw a photo of one.

ICE just killed another observer 😢 In minneapolis.
Frey: "This notion of inflammatory comments -- c'mon guys. I dropped an F bomb, they killed someone. Which one of those is more inflammatory? I'm going with the killing somebody."
Not an exaggeration at all to say that the feeling in Minneapolis is that the entire metro area is being treated as occupied territory by federal agents. Impossible to overstate how overwhelmingly people here do not like it. This does not feel sustainable.
We evacuated our kids out of Minneapolis this weekend and my spouse reports that as she drove them out of town she saw "multiple freeway exits where people are being pulled over." It feels like the Twin Cities is being subjugated by a hostile occupying force.
That is also what I am wondering. The car that was parked at the curb, that is the grayish vehicle. The vid doesn't actually show her car, the maroon Honda, legally parked.
this street, Portland Ave S is one way and has 3 lanes- one is for bikes, busses and emergency vehicles, that is the one the maroon Honda was partially blocking with the rear of the vehicle. The front of the vehicle was in the center lane.
Why her vehicle was stopped askew in the road like that?
also, a pandemic version from the the fandom…

Even *if* you accept Stephen Miller’s (textually, historically, and morally indefensible) claim that undocumented immigrants are not entitled to due process, you’d *still* need due process to ensure that the individuals at issue are, in fact, undocumented.
His argument fails even on its own terms.

There it is. The clam before the storm.

Maybe corny but it was helpful for me to hear Henry Rollins saying "this is not time to be dismayed, this is punk rock time, this is what Joe Strummer trained you for... You can be thunderous in your own life, to the eight people around you. That rubs off... Goodness is viral"
An important point to keep in mind.
this usually only happens if I fall asleep early from drinking…
Genuine question: is there any authorization, anything at all, for a so-called Department of Government Efficiency? an executive order? Anything?
Is anyone working for that “department” a government employee? Or is it just a straight up private sector takeover?
Perfectly captured.
I’ve heard we have laws to prevent violence.

I study history so I have read the guidebooks, but they don’t quite capture the experience of being there
