Yep. JR has been maddening to the rest of the court system, nevermind everyone else, in a process that arrogates power to the court rather than settling disputes.

Local inference may be getting better but someone still has to create the models, and that's still datacenter-scale. I don't think this stuff works if e.g. we're forever stuck with 2026 models.
Poll: If we rebrand "mRNA vaccines" as "DIY peptide makers", will more people accept them?
But it never did, SCOTUS said from the beginning that it was only for "official acts", and reserved for themselves the power to decide what is and isn't an "official act".
They couldn’t make Real Genius today because audiences would be confused why a bunch of nerds would sabotage selling their technology to the military-industrial complex
But that doesn't explain that moment in history versus anything or anywhere else. It's not like other cities don't pay for school infrastructure with broad taxes, or that that stopped being the case.
It's a state holiday here in MA today, almost as good.
Monday in America: going through my spam folder, finding not one but two different legitimate class-action settlement notices.
It's exposed in the TransitMatters tracker as well - might be able to figure out how it knows from there. traintracker.transitmatters.org?line=Green&c...
No, that's the reading group for the inmates run by the prison librarian, "Prose and Cons".
Not surprised, oy, but my Harvard-faculty neighbor in Somerville whose kid is about to be college age would beg to differ.

Yeah, my pricing is about this, not $100.
Huh, was that widespread? I was in FCPS and ducked out of AP Government because I didn't get around to reading it the summer before.
The Google Flights one was based on prices seen for the same market for similar-shaped trips over a particular time window, so no, it's going to cope at all with systemic biases until they're fully baked in.
They've been on the ropes financially for several years now.
I have long maintained that all engineering or technology related students should be required to watch this movie.
I got a big refund, and somehow I don't feel great about that, either.
I don't think it was actually the coders saying that.
Out here in MA they've been declared in violation of state plumbing code because of the prefab plumbing, so even the cities that allocated money to install some have been stopped.
This is always a good time.

A bit that signals Killmonger's wrongness, to me, is his invocation of a kind of pan-Africanism that AFAIK exists only in the minds of Americans, and not among the actual wide range of Africans, with their own distinct identities and politics.

Hungry-eyed himbo JD is having the time of his life, moving like the wind from one right-wing roadhouse to another. But he's been like a ghost telling Trump that joining Israel in Iran could be point break for his administration. Nobody puts Bibi in a corner.

There's also the snag for some people that COBRA only exists if the employer (and thus the plan purchased from the insurer) continues to exist. If the company fails and wasn't paying well in advance, then there's no plan for COBRA to buy into.
Man, very sorry to hear it. I went through this dance back when I was laid off in 2023. The COBRA administrator we had also had a habit of auto-billing just a touch too late each month, which resulted in "late payment" and having to jump through hoops to reinstate, and more gaps.
Bluetooth "Auracast" is kind of like that, but it requires joining a "channel" in advance - it's more targeted at, say, assistive audio for a whole theater, or announcements at an airport gate. Maybe there could be a standard emergency channel, but it doesn't seem reliable enough for this.
