Will managed to capture THREE Dans (it's not hard, ask us about video games) for some superlative Silksong conversation, come join in

A post that reads, "I'm spiting my addicting to ai by actively doing creative projects without any ai. ever. i hate ai and im now almost 4 months clean :)"
People are dunking on this guy but we really need to support and encourage people who make the decision to step away from AI. Like this is the goal!! For folk to realize and stop using it, even if they were to begin with!! This is a good thing!!
Once again: corporate-approved horny.
Baldur's Gate and The Witcher and Cyberpunk will not be banned on Twitch, while less lascivious indie games are banned from sale. Horny is an increasingly relevant Cultural Trend, and culture must be consolidated into the hands of capital.

Sad to hear about Ludum Dare beginning to wind down, but I think it's maybe good for people to be reminded how many of the things they consider indispensable institutions are really a single-digit number of people (often a single person) working very long & hard for little to no money
the equivalent of those bullshit reels where people describe their impossibly mad daily schedules and their commitment to The Grind
Think of how many games where the verb is violence. How many games (including the ones nominated for tonight’s BAFTA awards) where you shoot, fight, kill.
But when games want to explore the topic of violence in a meaningful way, that’s the issue?
This is what I think when I see this meme format

I feel that culturally, we never dwell enough on the fact that growing a human inside of you literally leaches the strength from your bones, taking your calcium for a baby skeleton, and too many rows of teeth for such a small skull
The sad dad protag is sad because the world has not prepared him for parental responsibility, so he must rise to the task (often overshooting).
The sad mom is sad because the world wanted nothing BUT to prepare her for this, so she faces the paradox of destruction in body and soul vs. nurturing.
Catapults are great if you know how to micro and the other person doesn't, but trebs can just destroy any building if you notice them too late
That's part of the fun of the game though, the access timing and use case for each unit's real interesting
All good, I have a special hatred of them as someone that likes to play Goths and other Infantry civs lol
Trebs are later, but they come from castles instead of siege workshops and don't have upgraded forms like Siege Onagers and stuff so they're simpler to get full access to
Yeah, HD textures and sound files on top of modernized network code and more civs adds a lot to things lol
Meanwhile I like how Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX and Way of the Samurai 3 are about 1-2 GB and they work just so efficiently because they're barely updated
Me to 3yo: What do you want for your birthday party theme?
3yo: “Poopoo & peepee theme! We can get apple juice for the pee, so a skeleton pees and you drink the skeleton pee but it’s okay because it’s juice”
Me: ..K I was thinking like “dinosaurs” but let’s put a pin in “piss fountain of the dead”
It's also a game that multiple Villagers working on a building makes it build faster; my strat was getting some small military together to defend 20 vils running to the enemy base to build a Castle right in their economy
also it's the Byzantines that get Catas, Turks are technically different lol
A Steam Achievement called Seven Sealed Fates which is from beating seven CPU opponents at once.
But yeah, if you have any interest in RTS games it's worth the money and time, but I'd recommend just getting the basic game and seeing if that sticks
I may be biased, as someone that played this back in high school and used to play a lot lol
If you aren't sure if you'll play much, that base amount will give you a lot of game and is a fun time. Also is a slower paced RTS and the Easy CPU is in fact easy, so you can have a game or two to just figure out how buildings/upgrades work
So the base game automatically has three DLCs it attaches with it, because those are civilizations that were released like a decade after the original game. So for 12.24 you get a lot of game, and the old original civs are still fairly balanced (some are still strong and some weak, naturally)
*nods sagely* ah, canon Missingno
A drawing of two women sitting on a couch. The one on the left is getting into deep lore of the Kirby series, and their text is covered near the end of their speech bubble by the one on the right saying "i don't say this lightly: i think we need to fuck like animals".
I assume one of the slides would be this except the left text is one of my various hyperfocuses or projects lol
This would be fun but largely because I'm both curious and terrified at what friends would put in
"I TECHED THAT THROW AND YOU KNOW IT BARNEY, THE STUPID BALANCE PATCH JUST MADE TERRY UNGA BUNGARD COMPLETELY UNVIABLE!"
Hummer Guy saying "I don't think you'll find anyone on all of Battery City who's better at merging without looking than me!"

A shot of this very familiar looking area in Doha Airport called The Orchard, taken from near the escalator on the upper floor, showing a the tops of trees and some of the domed ceiling overhead
A nice pathway through The Orchard, with trees and ferns and other plants on all sides
A shot showing a sort of tornado-like conical structure descending from the ceiling—rather part of the ceiling, I think—and not reminiscent of the game at all, but beautiful and worth showing
An upward show of that ceiling dome, something you could probably find a way on top of and get into all sorts of trouble near the final act

I have eight games on Steam, with Purgatory Dungeoneer nearly at the 50 needed for Very Positive and the rest below or barely past the 10 for Positive, so if people could spare the time for reviews it'd really help out
