I use a clear base called Rudy’s Opal that I make myself and add various stains to. The recipe is on Glazy.org . If you’re looking for a commercial product, I’ve been experimenting with Mayco’s Stroke and Coat glazes. They’re super vibrant and they have tons of great colors.

An ornately carved and sliptrailed greenware wine decanter with skulls.

The first wine decanter I made slumped a bit in the firing, so I had to make another. Everyone please say a little pottery prayer for me that this one works out better.
