Very good game from Marcus Smart. Notice his statistical impact spiked at the start and end of the game.
@johnhollinger.bsky.social not sure how you feel about Game Score these days but I like it a lot and have used it to chart a player's "production" throughout a game on hoopsjunkie.io. Check out Kuminga's epic 18 minute stint to close vs the Knicks.
Jonathan Kuminga's game score charted across four quarters.
I've just added Game Score to the player game page and charted it across the whole game. This really highlights the impact Kuminga made in his final 18 minute uninterrupted stint.
Check this out by clicking a player's name in the box score.
Continuously evolving playoff series pages on hoopsjunkie.io, here are the top 5 Hawks lineups by minutes played so far in the Knicks series. Lots of positive lineups featuring Kuminga so far.

You take Dyson out of the starting lineup?
Did you see that Kuminga played the final 18:01 minutes of the game?
Something about the Hawks in MSG. CRAZY!!!
The Kuminga stints are CRAZY long. He has been in since halfway through the 3rd term.
Felt like kind of a weak foul on Dyson against Brunson. A shame Quin blew the Hawks challenge trying to prevent NAWs 3rd foul in the first half.
Warriors win lottery.
The hoopsjunkie.io #NBA draft lottery simulator is now coin-flip-aware:
hoopsjunkie.io/draft/2026
In order for this to happen there would need to be lottery jumps from four of the nine teams below them in the lottery.
Utah is currently tied with Sacramento in the 4-5 slot in the lottery. If they were to lose the coin flip with Sacramento, there's a very low probability (0.31%) outcome in which Utah could fall to 9th and their pick would convey to OKC.
I added a rarity score to the #NBA draft lottery sim page to capture when low probability jumps occur.
Can anyone get a rarer roll than this?
This is broken down in more detail on the lottery page of the standing section: hoopsjunkie.io/standings/lo...
Part of the reason you can't just add both Pelicans and Bucks' lottery odds together is that if both teams land in the top 4, only one of those outcomes benefits the Hawks.
Realistically this only counts for a combined ~3% of outcomes but it's worth noting. @btrowland.bsky.social
Clippers win the lottery and OKC gets the no. 1 overall pick.
The darkest timeline
You can also now simulate the NBA draft lottery here:

I was also curious how Philly ended up with Houston's pick. Here's how that played out.
I always find myself asking questions like "Why does Dallas have OKC's pick this year?". I've done my best to trace the journey that each pick as has taken.
Here's the journey OKC's pick took to react Dallas.
I've recently added more detailed breakdowns of pick obligations and lottery odds to the standings > lottery odds page on hoopsjunkie.io. You can now see why a given team owns another team's picks by hovering the ๐, โน๏ธ or โก๏ธ icons.

Kinda sucks that plays like this are just normal now.
One of my least favourite parts of the modern game.
"For one night, we're us" is kind of what you're looking for out of all of this, from an emotional and narrative perspective, at a certain point. Pretty great.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker 3rd in the league in fast-break 3PT points at 1.8 per game.
NAW scored just under half his transition points from deep and the Hawks as a team scored the most transition 3PT points per game of any team in the league (at 5.9 per game)
Top 10 players in fast break points per game with Nickeil Alexander-Walker 4th with 4.0 and Jalen Johnson 5th with 3.9.
The Hawks scored a lot in transition this season but JJ and NAW were particularly prolific.
I thought you might be interested in a live scores / stats website I've been working on:

5 - Davis Bertans - 89.5% (2020-21)
Nic Batum's shot chart showing 95.8% three point attempt rate.
I dug a little deeper in to Nic Batum who shot the ball just TEN times within the 3-point line this season. Check out this wild shot chart which shows him attempting only 3 shots inside the paint.
This can't be real. Nic Batum has shot from inside the arc 10 times this season. That's compared with 223 3pt attempts.
