I might be a bit late but if you're not looking to game or do anything gpu intensive then modern enterprise laptops from dell/hp are quite good on battery, might be worth checking out and maybe you could find like a lighly used one for cheap

I'll come clean and say I mainly use it for F# but still, it's so nice and the recent UI overhaul makes all the jetbrains IDEs sleek to boot 🙏
I pray I can keep using them after Uni

C# is a bit verbose if you're used to something like python, but it's faster and once you get used to it it's basically the same!
I personally prefer jetbrains rider, it recently became free for non-commercial use~

if you're new here or returning, please go into your moderation settings and set most of that stuff to "show". stuff like adult/cartoon art is set to hide by default and since it auto-applies tags your art, things like bunny suits can get labeled as suggestive content and hidden by default :/
