Will second your David Koepp, BLACK BAG "Should've Been Nominated" Original Screenplay. A taut thriller with two dinner party knock-out, dialogue-driven set pieces.
THREAD: I got laid off from NYMag/Vulture after 14 years. The family lost 75% of income + medical. Now mzs.press bookstore, once a side project. is do-or-die for Judith & I. I feel weird telling you this because others are doing much worse. But if you could like or share this, we'd be so grateful!
How was this not in perpetual rotation on HBO/Cinemax circa-1991?!
Kasi Lemmons' TALK TO ME - stone cold classic. The Nine-Ball scene is a stunner.

Love the IFC Center and its programming! Harris and Caitlin are doing a fantastic job with the current batch of programming.
NYT covering the current repertory revival happening in movie theatres. Very exciting times. Happy to play a role.

Another article putting a spotlight on the Repertory revival happening at theatres across the country. Also worth noting that most of the titles referenced in the article are from Universal... consequence.net/2025/05/movi...
More coverage of LA's repertory film revival... Vidiots is one of the epi-centers of this incredible moment happening in LA (and elsewhere). (I'll also take small credit for getting Film Forum's Bruce Goldstein there in time for a quote)

I wonder if the "Freebird" decline coincides with Built To Spill doing a sincere 20min+ cover circa-2000... That version was notable enough at that time that during a Beulah show at the Bowery Ballroom someone yelled out "Freebird" and the reply from Beulah was "Nope - Built To Spill owns that now."
Very excited to share another Universal Repertory re-release for 2025. Buy tickets now!
