Even the town council is against it as it's interrupting their own regeneration plans. We know pedestrianisation areas work, as they do in many other places. What doesn't work are stationery shops and printers thinking the world is still the same as it was in the 90s 🤦‍♂️

My hometown has a pedestrianised high street and it's been like that since the 90s. A stationery shop, printers and an ex-councillor decided it should end and open up to traffic... With up to 200-ish positive comments Vs 2,200-ish negative comments, the main council are going ahead with plans.

If people were truly committed to their views on the Edward Colston statue they'd be demanding this be reinstated.
