26 years ago today, in what feels like a forgotten windstorm, Seattle gusted to 60 mph.

There was no school for thousands of kids the next day — Seattle’s latest (in the school year) wind-related school closure in memory.

What a fabulous start to March!

At this time of year, that’s usually not enough to cause widespread power outages as trees are bare/weaker branches have already fallen. We’ll see.

Fresh off back-to-back record low temps in Seattle (20° today, 23° yesterday), snowy weather will add to this week’s wintry feel.

Plan on light snow from Seattle south tomorrow afternoon, moving north during the evening. Accumulations of 1-2” possible. 😀😀
