its not that theres anything wrong with me, i think the way the industry works just doesnt fit me... but well i need to figure out a better way forward, i dont have the answer yet but ill get there 😞😞😞

working on weekly comics has changed how i see my art, it made me overlook the details i care about, shifted the meaning behind what i create and took away the value i hold dear, without that value i feel empty... like ive lost who i am

like... maybe rushing comic deadlines just isnt for me anymore, forcing it has only made things harder and its okay to admit that... i know i can do more bcs my ideas havent gone anywhere, but trying to keep up with the pressure has made me lose sight of what i care about in my work 😞

what my therapist said earlier really stuck with me: “youre an artist, not just someone who draws" i realized ive been treating those two things like theyre the same, but theyre not

i wish my mind would just work like everyone else’s bcs im so exhausted from fighting myself... i just want to draw
