(Slightly unclear why it's not categorised as a /FULSTL application as that's essentailly what it is).
Deadline also Friday 27 March.

We're pleased to welcome Terry Levinthal who will provide an update on @edinburghwh.bsky.social activities & answer questions - everyone very welcome.
@believeinscotland.bsky.social The Trust have received no information about this from @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social. Will the rally be on hard standing/car park? Grassed areas on the hill are easily damaged. An erosion emergency was declared last year. 300 sq. metres are fenced off. Please advise.
As expected, the Council's decision to refuse this application has been appealed to the Scottish Reporter (DPEA). Details of the grounds for appeal not yet available.

We will continue to engage with & support local residents through this process.
Final agenda for the NTBCC 'IN PERSON' meeting on Monday 9 February now available - 7:00pm start at Broughton St Mary's Church - details in the attached Agenda.

Long list of agenda topics to suit all tastes (but too numerous to mention) - come along - everyone welcome.
Agree the current building there has clearly reached end-of-life & there was a growing expectation a redevelopment scheme would be brought forwards.
However, whilst the replacement is functional & the use there is fully supported, it's actually a scheme that lacks ambition ?

There's mention of a pre-application having been submitted in October (2025?) but we are unaware of any such application.
The sales particulars for the site are here

including a 'Concept Design'.
It seems that the hotel market continues to thrive....
CHARLOTTE SQUARE PROJECT – NTBCC has significant concerns regarding the 'Improving Charlotte Square Project' & specifically the Phase 3 Preliminary Designs.
Your response to this is very measured - but perhaps too measured ?
Regardless of the cause, this is unnecessary & unacceptable vandalism that may have a lasting impact on this historic building.
(& yes, it doesn't help).
e.g. marked here & throughout
@spurtle.bsky.social
Also Cllr Laing -> Cllr Lang.
Hope you noticed that we did raise the absence of bus infrastructure contributions vs. the large contribution to the (distant) trams.....
LSEG joins @ntbcc.bsky.social and the Access Panel for a statement about CEC plans for cycling in Rose Street.
The report doesn't address concern at impacts on pedestrians (especially disabled). We hope councillors will reject the recommendations.

Whilst this may be consistent with current Developer Contribution policies - this does seem a little crazy to say the least.....
As well as residents' views, it may be helpful to seek those of the businesses there ?
Agree the Spurtle's overview is helpful - summarising the discussion at last night's NTBCC meeting.
Of the 1348 documents, over 900 are the objection comments (which the Council's system (un)helpfully includes twice...) - even so, still a huge undertaking for people to assimilate.
Although there's a draft recommendation to approve, the application will go before the DM Sub-committee on 17 December for determination.
This will allow an opportunity for local residents & other amenity organisations to voice their concerns to elected Councillors before a final decision.

Good that you have covered this but disappointed that this article is 100% developer-led & doesn't acknowledge or reflect any views from the 450+ local objectors to this latest scheme.
There are a number of statements which merit challenge but which are reproduced without further comment.

Too many topics to mention - everyone welcome.
We have also been contacted as the path crosses both NTBCC & LCCC's areas.
The issue will be on the NTBCC meeting agenda on Monday 8 December.
More to follow.
Elm Row still isn’t working as it should — unfinished works are causing confusion for everyone using it.
LCCC is working with WELM and Cllr Jack Caldwell to press the Council for progress on safety, parking and the missing sculptures.
Some fixes are due this month — we’ll share updates soon.
Looks excellent (& you arranged an appropriate post-laying watering schedule.....).
Hopefully it will be fully bedded in before the spring.
Yes - just in NTBCC's patch. Parallel thread in response to @jackrmcaldwell.bsky.social posting on X.
Agree that main consideration seems to be convenience for contractor not users of the path.
Have also asked the question re. diversion routes for pedestrians ('easyish') & cyclists(less easy)....
