So if you’ve got the time for it, playing all 3 in order really is the ideal progression. And 1 and 2 still hold up great in their own right! The first couple chapters of XC1 alone are still so incredibly well-done from a plot perspective, and XC2’s cast is one of my favorites in any video game.

To respond to your question about the other Xenoblade games, you CAN play them independently, but they’re definitely linked, and without knowledge of the others (particularly later in the game for 2/3), there are things that won’t make sense — it becomes obvious that you’re missing some backstory.
I never agree with most of the Internet anyway. They just love to hate things.
Hmm, yeah, sounds like an odd choice. Unless like you said, they’re setting something else up.
I’m still going to check it out, but with tempered expectations at least.
Which is weird, because Section 31 is a LITTLE bit of a deep cut with Star Trek anyway. It’s not super unknown or anything, but it’s not something casual viewers might have recognized.
It’s only a movie? I was thinking it was going to be a series. Maybe would’ve worked better in that format.
I still never watched the last season of Discovery, I really enjoyed the first two seasons of that, thought the third was fine.
This looks GREAT, I love the song and the concept of this scene and can’t wait to get my hands on this game!
That said, not to be that guy, but as a musician… where are the piano, set and bass players I hear in the song? :)
…from volume/balance (not speaking at a consistent level), dead air, talking over each other, not responding and reacting to each other in a supportive manner… it’s very frustrating.
Present company excluded. :)
Heck, there are shows on TV that are nothing more than that lol. It’s surprising how many people do NOT make for good TV hosts but get the gigs anyway.
But I feel that same way about podcasts, to be fair… there are a lot out there whose hosts make a lot of mistakes…
I never really post on social media at all these days, but it felt appropriate to post on here about how my Bluesky feed, despite having fewer follows than Facebook, X (ugh) or even Threads, is a much more enjoyable experience with more interesting and overall kinder posts.
Isn’t relying on the masses to fact check the reason we have fact checkers in the first place? This feels like a shepherd saying, “In the interest of freedom, I’m gonna let these sheep defend themselves against wolves.”
Facebook has become the “I did my own research” social media site. With them relying on social fact checking, even moreso now.
I so feel this.
I feel like podcasts are audio, and when it’s video, it’s just a show. It’s essentially TV, even if it’s not on a “TV” by default (and those lines are blurred to unrecognizability anyway).
Anything but tweeting.
