Stop Non-Consensual Intimate Image Abuse | StopNCII.org StopNCII.org is operated by the Revenge Porn Helpline which is part of SWGfL, a charity that believes that all should benefit from technology, free from harm.

We're announcing a new partnership with StopNCII.org to prevent non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) from spreading on Bluesky. While NCII hasn't been frequent on our platform, these incidents are devastating for victims and preventing them is a top safety priority. 1/4

His site may be penalized.
Ex: his "dead frameworks" post is indexed.

But, perform a search for an exact-match sequence from it and a scraper page is shown in the SERP, but his site's page isn't.

Conduct the same search adding:
site:aifoc.us

...and only THEN does the blog post show in the SERP.

I said the same on X.com.

@johnmu.com I have a case where a municipal website has a page for disclosing street improvement plans. It has 4,264 links in a long list for plans going back decades.

Links lower on the page aren't indexed.

What number of links can be indexed on a page?

Last year I ranted about how I'd bid for a domain name thru GoDaddy offering a low 4-figure sum, seller accepted, I provided payment, and then the interaction halted due to no response from the seller.

I just bought the domain for only $128!

Wait. Website content might NOT impact Google Maps keyword rankings. Chris Silver Smith (@silver-smith.bsky.social) just came out with an interesting study on this.

This is more important than you realize. Bluesky doesnโ€™t downgrade links. Which means news sites will get more traffic from here than other sites.

Which gives them economic reasons to post here first.

I don't use that - oddly, I wasn't aware of it.

But, Structured Data is easy for me - and, I was recommending that SEO people use structured data before the search engines adopted it! (And I have the receipts!)

Of course, using the number of search results for a query is not the only use-case of the number. It assists in knowing how many pages are indexed from a particular website (using a site: search) when you do not have access to that site's Google Search Console.

Huge heads-up! Manual actions for 'Site reputation abuse' have already started going out based on the policy update. Jason Kilgore pinged me on LinkedIn about this. So I checked CNN Underscored, WSJ Buyside, and others. Gone. Here is one of the manual actions just applied (not a site mentioned) #seo
