Batman Arkham Shadow (the vr one) is surprisingly good. Not like Half-Life Alyx good, but WAY better than I'd expected it to be for the game that came free with my headset

They really make it feel like a Batman Arkham game in VR. Worth taking a look imo!

So Ive had a Quest 3 for a while but haven't used it much because how painful it is to use. Like PHYSICAL pain for the horrible head strap within 20-30 minutes of use. So I ordered myself a new fancy head strap with a fan in it and a hot swappable battery pack on the back.

Played 2-3 hours no pain!

keep thinking about how I wrote in my dissertation about how every time a new form of public/social space emerges it's immediately popular with kids and teenagers who see it as a chance at freedom and then adults colonise it and kick them out. this happened with malls in the 80s and diners in the 50s and pool halls in the 20s. my dad was doing research on this trend in like 1975. and I was like "yeah so this is going to happen to the internet" and then five years later every government suddenly decided to ban kids from everywhere online. I hate being right especially when I don't even get paid for it

"Child liberation" sounds like some woke 2010s SJW bullshit until you start seeing all the ways children are treated like subhuman vermin.
