I would 100% go watch the movie in theaters regardless of if I saw it online or not. I saw the movie Aliens in theaters for an anniversary viewing after already watching it.
I think it's implied a little in the tv show that if he hadn't run his master might've taken him and gone that night anyway, but he had no way of knowing that. Be warry of trolls with bad takes though.
