you can't have your Miis be gay in the 3DS one unless you gender swap one of them but still dress them like they're their original gender. now being gay is just baked in. that rules! across the board, it wasn't like this when I was younger!!!
something that always strikes me when I play older games that have any kind of relationship system is that you can almost never be gay in them. the fact that your Miis can be gay and nonbinary in the new Tomodachi Life is, as silly as it might sound, genuine progress
