She's spent many years frustrated by a mistress who's not particularly demonstrative, and in teasing out a response she prefers feeling seen and known, awake and consciously wanted, when it comes to giving, so that there's no fuzzy territory of denial in feelings about it afterwards.

(It is, however, worth noting that's one reason among many, why the thought of living on the surface overwinter is something she instinctively feels wary about.)

She's experienced it so regularly in her longer-term, toxic power imbalanced situationship as part and parcel of her physically vulnerable state of overwintering, that it wouldn't occur to her a romantic partner would think it a boundary she *needed* an ask, to breach.

After some talk of how she feels about being watched while sleeping, Avenrhi's enthusiastically given her lover the go-ahead to touch her as she wishes.

She's far less pleased about the prospects of this with more casual sex partners, and knows how to hold a firm boundary there, however-
