We checked with our team and looking at the Fantastical code it should automatically advance to the next day. However, if it doesn't you do have the option of using the Shortcuts app (depending on the age of the iPad) to set up an automation to run each night using the "Show Date" action.
It's possible that some of the settings in Fantastical would help with this. Including the following: "Start week view on", "Days in Week view", "Only show Day Start and End Hours", along with the "Day Starts At" and "Day Ends At" option. You would have to leave Fantastical open on unlocked device.
