the way i was so painfully gaslit and used and ab*sed in my church ministry role has left such damage on me that i STILL find it hard to believe i'm actually good at my job and a capable boss and someone who knows things about my role. it's wild.

torn between 1. feeling a major ick about all social media and wanting to give it all up because nothing feels ethical or uncensored or free… and 2. staying on social media to keep advocating for change and allyship and justice as an act of protest despite it all being a mess

lemme tell you, when you don’t get your period in 8 months and then it decides to reappear, it is AWFUL. it’s like all those months of cramps and pain and migraines combines to give you an ULTRA PERIOD. i am miserable!!!

cannot for the life of me understand the move on Instagram's part to remove the ability to follow hashtags. that's a key way people engage with content (specifically in contexts like hobbies! or book recs! or genuinely so many other things!). makes no sense???
a friend and i were talking about how so often we want there to be spaces or chances to do things, and how that means we have an opportunity to be the one who does it, makes it, hosts it, starts it. we can go first! we can create the things we want to see more of. build it and they will come!
