Hey, #airplanenerd friends, I’m aboard an Airbus A-320 to Dallas for #NaLa2026, the National Latinx Conference on HIV, HCV and SUD. I like to wear my “United blue” polo when flying, though it’s fading a bit.

I meant to take my #HIV medication while getting ready for work. Then I meant to take it at work, but the day got away, so I took it when I got home. If you forget your HIV medication, don’t fret; take it as soon as you remember, as long as it’s at least 12 hours before your next dose.

Today’s a red letter day. Someone brought cherry-frosted donuts to work today. But before taking another bite, I’m being suggested to take my #HIV medication first.

“I knew how I wanted my hair, nails, outfit, coffin & what funeral home I wanted it to be at,” writes Kim Canady. “I have to remember that I’m here for a reason. I’m in a constant fight with myself to not just be alive but to actually live!”

After taking my #HIV medication, for #ThePAChat, I interviewed my colleague Shawna Mitchell, head of case management at Vivent Health + TPAN, about how SNAP rule changes are affecting people living with HIV. About 1/3 to 1/2 of people with HIV in the U.S. rely on SNAP. @posaware.bsky.social

Unfortunate changes are happening to the post office—this is one of them. As a result, PA is switching to UPS to ship bulk copies of the magazine. Update your shipping info—or place your new order: distribution@positiveaware.com.

Breakfast—scrambled eggs, cheese, tomato and onion on a croissant—for lunch, with my #HIV medication. (Maybe it’s just me, but looking at that croissant with a bite taken out of it, it kinda reminded me of the Millennium Falcon.)

The federal government no longer recognizes National HIV/AIDS Awareness Days. That’s why we the people need to stand up and call out how HIV impacts our communities.

Florida ADAP funding bill awaits governor’s signature as key gaps remain

The funding bill was presented to Gov. DeSantis on March 18; lawmakers expect it to be signed possibly within days, though no timeline has been confirmed. Gaps remind. Biktarvy is still off the #ADAP formulary; Descovy is subject to restricted use.
