Graphic titled “Five things that would change if Canada used proportional representation.” It lists five outcomes. Parties would need to compete for votes in all regions. Every vote would help elect representation regardless of location. Regional dominance would no longer guarantee power. Majority governments would require at least 50% support rather than about 40%. Cooperation between parties would be rewarded over polarization. The graphic ends with “Learn more at fairvote.ca.”

Look at what changes under proportional representation.

Votes count in every region, regional monopolies lose their grip, and governing requires real majority support.

That is a healthier democracy than winner take all politics.

Why not consider a step wise approach to building up the infrastructure? You cite all or nothing arguments, try thinking out of the box.

Many here who post are educated, intelligent forward thinkers driving to change for a better world. oh yes, salt batteries, check it out.

You are coming out with the oil & gas denial points at a typical rate. Seriously look this stuff up. Every point you make has been thoroughly debunked.

I won’t waste my time with this exchange any longer, I will be embracing & supporting the future, still a chance.

Good thing they work & um, that’s why battery. What is your point? Or do you have one.

Oil is dead, dying, kaput, finished, defunct. Just a matter of time.

Renewables are here, taking over the market.

You are boring me now. Be gone.

I’m an honest person who cares about the environment, so that won’t fly.

Perhaps you?

The system is rigged just how they want it.

So, follow Australia where all must vote by law, easily done.

or

ProRep system, promised for 100 years in Canada as a bait & switch vote grab. Runs in some families

proportional representation.

Most votes do not = representation.

46 years of voting not once had value, winner takes all.

All the parties are complicit in this game.

Abolish FPTP.

Why vote in this system? Most peoples votes are wasted disenfranchising them decade after decade …
