What's BLM ?

It's far more important to crucify the PM for not being psychic.
You mean Mr Crerar? Extremely unlikely but if it was, I doubt if be able to stop laughing before Christmas.
Maybe the Guardian source nabbed it?
I'm maybe missing something. But 20% of oil goes thru Hormuz. Can't where the other 80% comes from increase capacity? I can't help thinking things are exaggerated to increase oil prices and make money
Kicking Labour over the Gulf war led to Brexit and 14 years of Tory crap.
Good luck. My OH passed her test a month ago. It's been great for me! Try and get extra time in a family/friend car. You can get monthly car insurance.
There's so many people just ignoring the facts to bash Starmer. Yes employing Mandelson was a mistake. A lot thought it was a good idea, a lot who are criticizing now, but on this specific action there is no doubt Robbins messed up.
You've outed yourself now. You don't really care about the truth of what happened. It's just a way of bashing Starmer.
That's a different argument. I agree. But once the process started Robbins has a duty to do his job properly he didn't. Worth remembering there was a lot of support for Mandelson to get the job.
The "story" on this thread is about Robbins losing his job. Yes, Mandelson shouldn't have been appointed. If Robbins had done his job that wouldnt have happened. or Starmer would have done it anyway and then would have had to resign over going against the vetting.
GBNEWS would be the new state broadcaster.
Robbins said he didn't feel any pressure. The support Robbins is getting baffles me. He literally withheld important information from the PM and effectively changed the outcome of vetting. Of course he should be sacked.
Same for the PM.
He's not clairvoyant you mean.
I'm not looking at one sentence at all and you are going by vibes. We simply disagree.
That sounds like wishful thinking on your part, not borne out by the actual words of Robbins.
I fully expect the Guardian to start complaining about the govt stifling freedom of the press with a comparison to North Korea.
Robbins caused this mess. He overlooked the concerns and told the PM that Mandelson passed vetting. He should have told the PM and let him decide. In this case if he had continued with the appointment then Starmer would have to go. Robbins is clearly at fault.
From the BBC...
Sir Olly Robbins did not tell anyone in No 10 about the vetting concerns around Lord Mandelson. That is one thing he confirmed pretty quickly in his appearance before the Commons Foreign Affairs Committee.
Yes he did. Hr said he did himself.
No.
Lol. Robbins withheld important information from the PM. Of course he should be sacked.
He's very calm but looks like he could rip your head off if he wanted to.
If Starmer had been told Mandelson failed vetting but appointed him then Starmer would have had to go. Robbins basically anointed Mandelson. He had to go. This mess is his fault.
No. He didn't tell the PM that Mandelson failed vetting. Yes, he couldn't reveal why (I don't think he knows). But he overturned the decision so the PM couldn't make the decision himself. Robbins messed up and is obfuscating to cover it up.
He's whining as he's been pushed off the gravy train.
They have an oline article telling everyone removing the link to gas prices won't make any difference.
Pressure doesnt mean forced. He even said it wasn't direct pressure, just an overall pressure on his dept to get it done. He said this pressure has no bearing on his decision. Pressure or not, his job was to make the right decision. Hr didn't. He caused this mess.
