He talks about how Anti-trans laws makes trans people more vulnerable. This is noted as a positive in his view. Why? What would some rich, powerful monster like Epstein gain from having more vulnerable people out there?

A group of powerful predators and pedophiles cannot openly lobby for policies that will make their favoured vices easier to access but they can oppose and reverse laws that make people more secure. Groups that are less secure fall through the cracks more often and thus are easier to victimize.

We all know this sort of stuff goes on. Most of us hate it and work to fix it however we can. It is why lobbyists are both well paid and poorly regarded.

It has long been observed that certain groups will put their hands on the scale to create advantages for themselves when they have the power.

If you got rich selling cheap, toxic products, you can get richer by destroying media education so you can sell more of your crap, for example.

I used to wonder 🤔 why people didn't implement these policies or tried to foil them when they were implemented. I settled on misinformation and prejudice but while this is true, it is not exactly right.
