I've been very busy this past month. Honestly wild that January is almost done.
With that said my plan of sending out a January newsletter and running a book sale isn't happening yet. I plan on resuming with it all early February. So not a huge delay!
Is there such a thing as new year’s slump?
I’m getting stuff done but not as much as I’d like. Hopefully I can get some running and writing in next week. I think I must accept this week is a wash, lol.
Ran my final 5K today for 2025 and did chores; it was some truly exciting stuff, lol!

Managed to write 2K words today and now I’m about to play one of my favorite games solo while listening to the rain outside and some lofi music. Such a great feeling. #amwriting #boardgames #cozy

The 5K this morning went great! The crowds were big and the race energy was perfect. I got 23:39. I’m definitely very happy with it!
I also finished my 31st 5K in a row today. Suffice to say I’m taking a break for the next few days. #turkeytrot #running

I ran a practice 5K today, with a 23-minute, 22-second finish. Not my fastest ever, but I'm very happy with it after the ups and downs I've had this year. Running my first official race for 2025 next Thursday for Thanksgiving. Should be a good 5K. I'm excited! #running
So, I got sidetracked by WhatNot... I'd argue it was a good sidetrack, but it was also not writing. Suffice to say I am back on track today with a few extra Pokemon cards in my collection! So many more words to go before book 4 is done. #amwriting
I rarely run on the treadmill. But I also hate getting struck by lightning. Surprisingly the run was great today! Nothing crazy but got a 5K in 30 minutes. #running
I always find it interesting how I just stare at the screen with my manuscript for 30-60 minutes with music on. I'm just thinking but doing nothing else. I did not get 3K words yesterday, but I still made progress on book four. Honestly, one of the hardest things I find is starting a new chapter. Even if I know what the purpose of that chapter is, there is just something about setting the scene that slows me down. Anyone else? #amwriting #writesky
