[alt text by NASA] The Moon, seen here backlit by the Sun during a solar eclipse on April 6, 2026, is photographed by one of the cameras on the Orion spacecraft’s solar array wings. Orion is visible in the foreground on the left. Earth is reflecting sunlight at the left edge of the Moon, which is slightly brighter than the rest of the disk. The bright spot visible just below the Moon’s bottom right edge is Saturn. Beyond that, the bright spot at the right edge of the image is Mars. Credit: NASA
Whoa 🤯
The Moon, in full eclipse, with the #Artemis II Orion spacecraft. Part of the Moon and spacecraft are lit by Earthshine, and both Saturn and Mars are visible to the lower right. Incredible. Details: images.nasa.gov/details/art0...
We could be looking at one of the worst humanitarian crises in history tonight.
“Enough. There is no moral argument for inaction. There's no plausible case for keeping the deranged idiot madman in power. Fly your sorry besuited asses back to the Capitol and this time, strip this self-proclaimed destroyer of civilizations of his powers. Anything less is an act of complicity.”

✅ #Artemis II update: ‘Earthrise 2026’, or rather ‘Earthset’. Just after this view from the livefeed, Orion and its crew reached their farthest point from Earth, 406 772 km away. They are now on their way home, set on the free return trajectory by our European Service Module🚀
@exploration.esa.int
Love that Corgi 🤣🐶
Love this!
Y'all there is a woman and a black man circling the moon and NASA's mission control+ science teams are so diverse and people are nerding out about science and exploration this is all a gigantic middle finger to the stupid and hate and grotesque ghouls running our country
There is something you can do about all of this — make your plans for May 1. This country needs a united show of power, energy, and hope.

The Artemis II crew is a breath of fresh air into the news cycle.
Elizabeth de la Vega: "The unlikelihood that trump will be removed via the 25th Am is no reason to stop talking about it. We mustn't stop talking about what *should* happen merely because it's a longshot. Keep up the pressure, because giving up is exactly what trump and his corrupt cult want you to do."
Here are three ways we can turn anti-Trump solidarity into political power…

So glad you like them. Trying to keep finding joy, gratitude and happiness in the small mundane and not so mundane parts of life. “The days are long, but the years are short.”
It’s so good and so very relevant now.
Arash Reisinezhad @arashreisi “Firing top U.S. generals is not routine; rather it signals resistance inside the military to a ground invasion of Iran. When seasoned commanders are sidelined, it suggests the push for escalation is political, not strategic. History is clear: Ignore the counsel of experienced generals, and failure may follow!”
Arash Reisinezhad ~ @arashreisi “Emerging evidence suggests that U.S. operations south of Isfahan (marked in red on the map were unrelated to any pilot rescue mission. The downed American pilot was reportedly located in southwest Iran, near Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province (marked in blue on the map), not central Iran. Instead, this appears to have been a failed heliborne insertion aimed at locating uranium within Iran. The recent dismissal of seasoned U.S. generals may not be coincidental; it may reflect internal resistance to such high-risk operations. Given Iran's increasingly effective air defense, and the apparent failure of this mission, the viability of future heliborne incursions deep into Iranian territory is now in serious doubt and may ultimately be abandoned.” “deep inside the mountains of Iran. The Iranian Military was looking hard, in big numbers, and getting close. He is a highly respected Colonel. This type of raid is seldom attempted because of the danger to "man and equipment." It just doesn't happen! The second raid came after the first one, where we rescued the pilot in broad daylight, also unusual, spending seven hours over Iran.”
It is interesting to read the reasons here on BSky I see over and over as to why Kegsbreath is firing US Generals - because he won’t promote POC and Women. It makes much more sense if they are being fired because they won’t go along with war plans.
Quick reminder that the US Congress can stop this anytime it wants to, and that it is the appropriate remedy for executive lawlessness.
Yeah, yeah. I know.

Two pictures of the pillsbury dough boy: once is on a purple background with the caption “he is risen! happy Easter!”, and the other is tan and brown, similar to a cracker, on a white background saying “he is not! Happy Passover!”
It’s time to post one of my favorite memes of the year.
