This is utterly fucking ridiculous because you cant just swap the name plates of a ship, even if they are the same class. First off, Olympic had a slightly different upper deck design, so they'd have to fuck around with that.

Mine has to be the Titanic switch theory, where the RMS Olympic's damage during the HMS Hood collision was too costly so the company decided to Sink Olympic by renaming it Titanic, and making Titanic Olympic.
