To install one copy of Outlook in space may be regarded as a misfortune; to install two looks like carelessness.

That’s great news! We’ve got cabaret Voltaire on the 17th too (don’t clash! ;))
if you can get booked into these places in Newcastle, they're good from a punter POV: www.boilershop.net / www.yourfutureisdigital.com / theglasshouseicm.org ; or the two University venues su.enquiries@northumbria.ac.uk , nusu.co.uk/enquiries (PS please play Newcastle :))
Hi friends, I am attempting to put together some shows in October for Ye Gods in the UK. I would very much like to go back to some places I haven't played in a long time, most notably in the glorious North of England. Any leads @worriedaboutsatan.bsky.social / @astralsocialite.bsky.social ?
When I first got into 3d printing I realised there was an untapped world of glitching the stream of instructions sent to the printer for interesting effects and thought of you
if the bespoke voltage lines for SF’s hotel elevators weren’t provided by PG&E (no idea) and could be leveraged that would be a cool project.
I used to write such bloated graphics code, but when I saw how much can be achieved in just a few kilobytes I underwent a Demoscene conversion

Some people have dedicated their lives to the art of the skewer and it seems such a strange skill to spend time on
lauren @NotABigJerk For everyone visiting their parents this week: LG tvs call it TrueMotion Roku/TCL calls it Action Smoothing Samsung calls it Auto Motion Plus Sony calls it MotionFlow Panasonic calls it Intelligent Frame Creation Amazon Fire TVs call it Motion Processing 12/25/22
G force part 2 is nixed as well. So much for the glorious streaming future
(TBF I’m also only following like 2 people or something so, I could improve that. )
Bluesky is kinda neat, and I get that this behaviour is a form of cathartic healing, but my timeline is full of USA Fascism stuff. On the other hand, how come I hear none of this in my country’s news? _that‘s_ concerning.
Michael Burry (The Big Short) is betting against AI companies as well. He reckons they’ll change how they report depreciation to hide up how much they’ve spent on chips and data centres to inflate profits. What could go wrong?

The cover for "Dragon Magic: Your First Programming Book," a book about programming the Dragon microcomputer. In it, two kids are flipping through a book and typing into a , while behind them, a minotaur wields an ax, a dragon breathes fire, and a pair of spaceships engage the dragon. To the bottom is the author's name, Richard Wadman, and to the bottom-right is the logo of Dragon Data, reading: "DRAGON DATA APPROVED"
The greatest lie the 80s told young computer users is that programming would be as magical an experience as the programming textbooks of the 80s promised.

First success at 8x Sun Hα mosaic: 5.7K disk in good detail (downsampled here). Coronado PST is a visual instrument, so brightness is not uniform across the field, which gives lots of trouble with compositing. But it almost works, if you are very patient!

we won’t. And so any other bugs we suffer won’t get fixed. Until/unless we look at alt firmware. It’s all a pile of admin we could do without. Meanwhile our Prusa soldiers on. We should have just bought another of those!
I TF care. We put a Bambu into our office print lab last year. This change is going to make it really hard to manage sharing the printer in our lab. I care because I bought one thing and if I take this firmware update I’ve got something else entirely
I wonder if I should invest more time over here. I’m happy with the Fediverse, although I’m not convinced it will ever get mainstream appeal. Certainly “X” is done for.
Early delay units worked a bit like that
@rob-sheridan.com there's a local saying where I live, "shy baerns get nowt". So here I go: given the Fragile anniversary, thinking about live song performances: are you sitting on the Open Source Resistance show footage? would you consider putting it up? TIA!
