Hi friends, I am attempting to put together some shows in October for Ye Gods in the UK. I would very much like to go back to some places I haven't played in a long time, most notably in the glorious North of England. Any leads @worriedaboutsatan.bsky.social / @astralsocialite.bsky.social ?

I used to write such bloated graphics code, but when I saw how much can be achieved in just a few kilobytes I underwent a Demoscene conversion

Bluesky is kinda neat, and I get that this behaviour is a form of cathartic healing, but my timeline is full of USA Fascism stuff. On the other hand, how come I hear none of this in my country’s news? _that‘s_ concerning.

Michael Burry (The Big Short) is betting against AI companies as well. He reckons they’ll change how they report depreciation to hide up how much they’ve spent on chips and data centres to inflate profits. What could go wrong?

The greatest lie the 80s told young computer users is that programming would be as magical an experience as the programming textbooks of the 80s promised.

First success at 8x Sun Hα mosaic: 5.7K disk in good detail (downsampled here). Coronado PST is a visual instrument, so brightness is not uniform across the field, which gives lots of trouble with compositing. But it almost works, if you are very patient!
