art of a computer desktop screen, with the emulator Visual Boy Advance open in a window in the middle. it displays a completely black screen, apart from white text in the center that reads "END?". speech bubbles are coming from the window, saying "We sure had a lot of fun, didn't we?" "Bye." "I wish we could always be together." "*giggle* That was fun!" "Goodbye." "Thanks." "Thanks for everything." "Let's meet again sometime. We can meet as many times as we want."
the desktop background is the only thing not drawn, a heavily edited photograph of a field of sunflowers. in the corner, the date reads april 25th, 2012. that was the day I finished mother 3 for the first time.
i love you, too

check your seat height. your elbows should be at a 90° angle at the right height with all your tools, including keyboards. that should help to eliminate any unnecessary ergonomic strain.
5+ hours at a desk is also a lot of time, so I'd recommend pacing yourself and taking frequent breaks.

tbh I think composing involves a fair bit of research sometimes. this sounds like one of those situations where it's applicable

the only thing I hate about this is that the production cycle for the whole series is probably gonna span like 12 years or something

For all that the media has spent years freaking out about what social media does to our brains, I don’t understand why there appears to be little effort to grapple with the fact that these chatbots are, for some not insignificant portion of the population, literally psychosis machines

this is just basic psychological self defense.
ads - not all ads, but many ads - want to make you FEEL BAD.
they want to create in you a feeling of loss, a feeling of absence, that they can promise to fill with their product.
don’t let them! turn that shit off the moment it comes on.

I like the hispanic culture of coming up with ridiculous nicknames for people just based off of their reputation or experiences with them... I know this guy who used to be called "sausage" growing up because he was tall and lanky

I think the real takeaway is to make an effort to connect to your senses and everything that your environment has to offer to you ... I've gone on walks where all I did was listen, and experiencing that through the lens of recording it would spoil it a little imo

You would be upset to learn how many little fun factoids you've taken to heart were actually just made up by some guy online 20 years ago back when no one bothered fact checking stuff.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

just a guess, but you might need to manage your expectations for what initial interactions will look like with new people. they're usually very unglamorous.
