I have a new mental model for thinking about AI LLMs. They are average sentence generators. If you ask them to generate a sentence in a field you’re below average in, you’ll be impressed. If you’re above average, you’ll be underwhelmed. This fits perfectly for every time I’ve ever used an LLM.
