Superb to hear Sydney Writers Festival Director Ann Mossop on RN just now. Disagreement is not harm, she argued – quite rightly. Writers’ festivals exist to create rigorous environments for discussing books and the ideas behind them. Claims that they’re harmful tend to be made by non-attendees.
