interesting, yeah! i've never thought about it this in depth before, & i have yet to be in a situation where i need to differentiate between the 2 while single. (when i met my s/o i still thought that anyone who gave me attention was into me, lol)

if so, i think of those as romantic feelings. in my mind, platonic = friend and romantic = s/o, based on the boundaries in a closed relationship..

im not sure if i explained this well considering i don't understand it very well myself lol

(1/2) i've been trying to think of a way to explain how i think of it >.< being someone who's in a monogamous relationship, i try to categorize my feelings for others by "would my s/o be upset if they found out i thought this way by this person?"

fun fact i used to not be able to tell the difference if i liked someone platonically or romantically so i thought i was attracted to all my friends. i made progress there over the years (& countless embarrassing moments where i mistook the vibes)

also ive been feeling depressed these past few days & have been hanging out with coworkers to distract myself, but today it was too much so i declined a hang out, texted my coworker apologizing & telling her how i was feeling, & she didn't respond 🫠 now im embarrassed
