Your brain can get overwhelmed, even if it’s about things you want to do. Too much excitement and stimulation can leave us tired…also, planning can release the same dopamine as doing the thing, so your brain may already feel like it’s accomplished it just by planning it.

I don’t think I’ve appreciated how much my pets have helped me stay a bit more calm and centered…my dog likes to adventure and gets me to Touch Grass, and my cat just…enjoys my quiet presence, and loves me being around without me having to constantly prove myself.
