Arc de Tri-ump.

That is heartbreaking waste. Turning out the power is just a malicious end to a nasty act.

Gross. Trump should focus on the Iranian school girls he bombed instead of the Iranian soccer players we are rescuing. The guy is desperate to leech off any good news headlines he can.

And yet advocating genocide against Israel would be a hate crime (as it should be, but not exclusive to them).

It’s rife with exploitation opportunities.

An influential arts program that no longer has Louise Adler as director feels like exactly the end game that subversive influencers were after.
Writers week was cancelled rather than reinstate RA-F.
Next year invitations will just be withheld instead of rescinded.

Bloody brilliant. I like the letting emergency contacts know part of it too. Let’s bring back a culture of looking after your elderly and vulnerable.

X was reaching 1 in 5 Australians, more young men than women, in 2025. That’s a huge amount of people, particularly highly susceptible to extremism people that the government would be cutting off from their reach. Regulate grok or remove the platform from the App Store, but don’t just abandon it.

I’d rather see them regulate the content and platform than abandon commonly used communication channels.

Maybe not “anywhere”. But certainly in the most mainstream highly utilised locations, absolutely. X is becoming filled with bottom dwellers, but it’s also still got a lot of centre right & right wing voters who should t be pushed further into an echo chamber that doesn’t contain their own government

Super healthy bounce back! I’d rather we all dissect and discuss and unpack new information for all to read through - sunlight is going to get our societal issues where they need to be.

If I found myself in a situation of ideological differences with my board, my instinct would be to stay to keep influencing a more positive outcome, not to resign every time the vote doesn’t go my way.
The resignation now (if this were me) would be because the board continues to stand its ground.

Scarcity factor back then on top of women’s rights advancements now.

There weren’t enough men to go round thanks to the war and women needs to marry just to financially exist so even the mouth breathers could get a wife back then.

The ones craving the gold old days just aren’t thinkers.

Trying to minimise reporting and visibility of how badly their lineup has been gutted.

I will be interested to see if the RC finds that Australia recognising a Palestinian state enflamed extremists or if the social tensions were regardless. I know this is what the Zionist Lobby group wants to lead it to, and there will be strong objections if there is any perceived criticism of Israel

Is it possible these people resigned as they didn’t vote for Dr Abdul-Fattahs rescindment in the first place? That this is their quiet protest rather than their trying to distance themselves?

Our leaders should be posting everywhere that citizens are.
Bluesky is heavily left leaning, X has become a right leaning echo chamber. We need our government everywhere and not just catering to the communication preferences of their own voters.

Because only a small handful of adults - often the worst in society - are on there.
The child social media ban was never about children - it’s about connecting adults IRL ID to their social media profiles to provide CCP style intelligence and oversight. Removing anonymity in political discourse.

Was he just being sarcastic? Making fun of the people who say there was no autism or ADHD when they were a kid?

Or is he genuinely that stupid.

It’s not expensive in Australia either. That’s a pretty run of the mill price for a workday lunch sandwich, and our PM grabbed a cheap street food lunch over a restaurant meal or brown bagging it which is apparently the only acceptable option for a left leaning advocate of raising the minimum wage.

Our Left Prime Minister in Australia bought a Bahn mi for $10 and copped 48 hours of front page news and algorithm saturation for being out of touch in a cost of living crisis 😂

Right leaning commentators will target the most ridiculous stuff.

I loved this show, such clever writing.

Palestine also needs all their hostages back.
They have released all living Israeli hostages which was always supposedly the action needed for everyone to lose interest in the war, but there are thousands more still languishing in Israelis jails.

I’m visiting Japan rn and every above knee skirt we look at has skorts sewn in and it’s glorious.
Japanese fashion has it sorted.

This campaign needs you now Law Reform for Domestic Violence Murders

That pathetic sentence now becomes case law for future and past offenders to argue for weaker outcomes.

If this outrages you, please consider signing the petition for minimum mandatory sentences for DV murders which needs 20,000 signatures to be debated in parliament.

Goddamn was a slap in the face and a chilling caution for future rape victims and government employees.
I hope that woman never sleeps a good night again knowing that Australia now has all the nasty details.

Fantastic. I’m assuming that the same will happen to Australia later this year when our age verification laws kick in?

Goddamnit now we’re going to be stuck with a monopoly of the large players.

Id rather see them introduce the age verification measures on porn sites.
How ridiculous that an unsupervised teen will find it easier to access Pornhub than the Wiggles or some videos for school.

Kids will find unregulated ways around the ban and start to operate in the shadows.

This was such a train wreck. I honestly can’t imagine why Burrows set herself up to be associated with this.
Either it’s a tragic case of women never knowing when to say no, or she was deluded enough to think this would reflect well on her.
She’s represented other repulsive cases before though.

I’m just gobskacked by his argument that if he’s known the judge would find he had nonconsensual intercourse he would have provided different answers so deserves his appeal.
Like tacitly acknowledging the finding that sex occurred is true, but he would have argued the consent aspect 😳
