Labour is failing to act with urgency on the energy crisis.
Plaid Cymru MPs today call for action: extend support beyond the Ofgem price cap, more support for off-grid households, tackle exploitative energy profits, and break the link between electricity and gas to cut bills.

Fantastic to be part of Together Alliance’s March Against the Far-Right today in London.
A huge turnout for hope and humanity, and against hate.
I’m proud that Plaid Cymru is leading the opposition to Reform UK’s division in Wales 🏴
Gwych bod yn rhan o orymdaith Together Alliance yn Llundain heddiw yn erbyn yr asgell dde eithafol.
Tyrfa enfawr dros obaith a dynoliaeth, ac yn erbyn casineb.
Balch mai Plaid Cymru sy’n arwain y gwrthwynebiad i ymdrechion Reform UK i rannu cymunedau Cymru 🏴
The UK Government’s delay in tackling foreign interference, in light of the case of Reform’s former leader in Wales, may mean the damage is already done ahead of the Senedd election
Why this matters 👇
Keir Starmer has granted the US access to British bases for ‘defensive’ strikes on Iranian missile sites.
Given Trump’s erratic nature, we must ensure that clear limits are upheld and that the UK isn't pulled deeper into a conflict that remains unresolved.
Cyfiawnhaodd Trump ymosod ar Iran gan bod trafodaethau ar niwclear yn 'methu'.
Ond doedd dim tystiolaeth glir o unrhyw fygythiad uniongyrchol, ac roedd y DU yn gwybod hyn o fod yn rhan o'r trafodaethau.
Roedd ymosodiadau'r UDA ac Israel yn anghyfreithlon - a phobl gyffredin sy'n talu'r pris.
Trump justified striking Iran as talks on nuclear were ‘failing’.
But there was no clear evidence of any imminent threat, and the UK knew this from being part of discussions.
The US-Israeli strikes were illegal and unjustified - and civilians are the ones now paying the price.
Nigel Farage has repeatedly made money out of videos promoting far-right slogans, misogyny, and antisemitic conspiracies.
He has profited from extremism while holding a position of public trust.
In Wales, only Plaid Cymru can stop his reckless agenda.
There is very little clarity following the UK Government’s announcement of support for off-grid households.
Plaid Cymru will continue to press the UK and Welsh Governments to act so that households and businesses get the level of support they need.

Extra support during this time of soaring costs is welcome
That’s why Plaid Cymru called on UK Government to act over a week ago
Off-grid households in rural areas are being hit hardest by this crisis and we must ensure that they are included in any solutions
Scrapping jury trials will do nothing to fix the structural issues facing courts in Wales.
Outdated systems, crumbling buildings and stagnant pay are causing these huge backlogs.
Reforms are needed, but not at the cost of our fundamental public rights.
“Labour is the party of devolution” - says the very same Labour Party that is actively denying Wales a voice.
This shows nothing but utter contempt for the people of Wales.
Bobl Cymru, rydyn ni’n haeddu gymaint gwell na hyn.
Welsh household costs are set to soar because of Trump’s illegal war. The UK must use every lever to bring it to an end now.
Mae costau aelwydydd Cymru ar fin codi’n syfrdanol oherwydd rhyfel anghyfreithlon Trump.
Rhaid i’r DU ddefnyddio pob dull i ddod â’r argyfwng i ben.
@lsrplaid.bsky.social
Trump’s war is driving energy prices through the roof.
The UK Government must deliver emergency support for households – especially in parts of Wales that aren’t connected to the mains gas grid.
Action is needed now.
@benlake.bsky.social
Mae rhyfel Trump yn gyrru prisiau ynni drwy’r to.
Rhaid i Lywodraeth San Steffan ddarparu cymorth brys i aelwydydd – yn enwedig mewn rhannau o Gymru sydd heb gyswllt â’r prif grid nwy.
Mae angen gweithredu nawr.

As Trump’s war in Iran sends energy costs skyrocketing, Reform UK are cheering him on.
Backing an unlawful war abroad while ignoring its costs at home shows just how out of touch Farage is.
While Reform are licking Trump’s boots, Plaid Cymru will focus on the cost of living.
Reform's ex-leader in Wales was recently sentenced for accepting Russian bribes.
Today, 3 men have been arrested on suspicion of spying for China – 2 of them in Wales - who reportedly have close associations with Labour.
Rhaid gwarchod ein democratiaeth rhag ymyrraeth dramor.
The decision to allow UK bases to be used in this escalation raises profound legal & security concerns. Parliament must be consulted before the UK is drawn further in
UK Government must work for de-escalation & uphold international law, not deepen its involvement in conflict 2/2
We can be unequivocal in opposing Iran’s repressive regime while also rejecting dangerous US military action which breaks international law.
A war launched without proper international authorisation risks devastating consequences for the region and beyond. 1/
Welsh icon Michael Sheen has declared his support for Plaid Cymru ahead of May's Senedd election, saying the country is undergoing a ‘huge transformation’
Mae newid ar droed. Mae sefydliad San Steffan bellach yn gweld Plaid Cymru fel bygythiad.
When the Westminster establishment rolls out the tired old clichéd attacks on Plaid Cymru as ‘separatists’, I say: bring it on. We are doing something right.
Amdani! 🏴
This escalation risks plunging the region into devastating conflict.
There is no substitute for diplomacy and respect for international law. UK Government must press for de-escalation and oppose any unlawful use of force by rogue states.
Wales: it's a two-horse race in May 🏴
Between Reform who will sell out to the highest bidder, and Plaid Cymru who will always put the interests of Wales first ✊
Vote Plaid Cymru on 7 May to build a better future for us all 🗳️
The election in May will be a choice between two contrasting futures.
Tolerance or division.
Progress or decay.
Humanity or indifference.
Plaid Cymru or Reform.

Peter Mandelson’s arrest is a huge moment.
But UK Government must not use it to delay the release of papers.
What the Prime Minister and advisers knew at the time of the appointment goes to the heart of the PM’s judgement.
The arrest must not stall transparency.
This announcement will feel like déjà vu to many people in Wales.
These stations were already announced in last year’s Spending Review, with funding spread over a decade.
Reheating old promises is not the generational transformation Wales was promised.
Cabinet Office minister Josh Simons is facing serious questions over a probe into journalists while running Labour Together
The Cabinet Office surely shouldn’t be allowed to investigate itself
An independent inquiry is needed and he should step aside as minister in the meantime
Rwy’n croesawu dyfarniad yr Uchel Lys.
Mae’n ymddangos fod Plaid Cymru yn gywir i fod yn amheus ynghylch sut y cyflwynodd y Llywodraeth y gorchymyn gwahardd. Roedd ei hachos yn sylfaenol ddiffygiol.
Ni ddylid camddefnyddio cyfreithiau gwrthderfysgaeth i dawelu protestiadau.
