She didn't work corrections- she was a nurse at St. Jerome's hospital in Batavia, New York, the nearest trauma center to Attica- she work 3 24 hour shifts in a row. There were refrigerated morgue trailers set up in the parking lot. It was a very very dark time.

Thank you so much- it's hard to imagine her death at 88 being a shock, but it absolutely was.
I just lost my 88 year old mother last week. She was still living by herself- got her RN at 16, her BSN at 47, and her MSN at 63.
Today's the 11th anniversary of my wife's last chemo treatment.
Don't think mine has ever seen snow...except in the garage.

Absolutely- I learn so much every time- not a musician, but as a teacher it's fascinating. Also the "inside baseball" way he has of talking at a very high level with his guest but out of enthusiasm.
