So beautiful!! 🥹 Is this from last year or is this her fleece post sheering from this year?!
So exciting! I hope they are enjoying being lighter and I’m so excited to see your fleeces at the fiber frolic! 💗
2-ply marled yarn on a full bobbin freshly plied on an electric spinner.

I usually ply on my Louet wheel but wanted to try out plying on my Ashford espinner. It was a really fun experience. I noticed I don’t ply any faster because if I dialed up the speed, I wouldn’t be able to see the twist going in. It’s great to have another choice to ply with big bobbins! #handspun
I am thrilled to have some time to spin since moving into my new space. I’m spinning for a traveler something - hopefully a sweater or the hoodie! 🤞🏼 Fingers crossed I can stay consistent. My plan is a 2-ply sport weight yarn. I’m spinning corriedale roving from @portfiber.bsky.social longdraw 🧶🖤
I agree. I would also like to have the same experience here with the stories function on insta. I love seeing everyone’s projects in progress! Maybe that just means more posts on this app?
Thank you, Vivian!!
Oooooh! Dreamy!!
Oooh! So beautiful to watch! Nice work!! 😍
I wonder if sheep would say, “thanks! I grew it!” When offer sheep compliment them on the knits they wear. 🤔
Thank you!!
Thank you! I was traveling so I didn’t have my wheel with me. It was surprisingly not as hard as I first thought it would be or as time consuming. I highly recommend!! ❤️
A pair of handknit socks with each sock laid out side by side fresh off the sock blockers.
Halfway completed top down handknit sock.
I recently finished my #oxbowsocks but hasn’t shared them, yet. I used Mousam Falls Jaggerspun sock yarn in the Mahogany colorway. In the second picture, you can really see the actual color. This was such a fun knit! 🧶 #skyknit #knittersofbluesky
I had been on an Instagram break and out of habit, would open the app and close it but I’m so glad your post popped up when I did the last time. I kept lamenting how I would be able to see my fiber friends and inspiration from the fiber community that brings me joy. ❤️
Excited to see how it goes!! ❤️
3 skeins of 2 ply yarn opened from its skeins, laid out flat on a table to see the yarn and twist up close.
10 balls of hand spun wool yarn singles and a mini skein of 2 ply yarn in a ceramic monstera leaf decorative plate with a Mingo Asho Glasspin supported spindle above it.
10 balls of hand spun wool yarn singles arranged from dark to light in a circle.
3 skeins of 2 ply yarn and one tiny skein of 2 ply yarn from leftover singles.
Last year, I committed to supported spindling for at least 15 minutes a day for 100 days and this is the yarn I made! I used mostly MingoAshos and Woodland Woodworking spindles. I hand-spun batts from the Woodland Pixie and spindled plied on my Ashford drop.
Thank you so much for getting this started! Would love to be on the list!
