AntennaPod @ FOSDEM 2026 – AntennaPod AntennaPod contributors met at the FOSDEM 2026 conference

As always, #FOSDEM was awesome, and we were there! We met and talked shop with folks from #FDroid and @weblate.org. Had chats about bottom navigation with random users who picked up AntennaPod stickers. And met up with key community members over dinner!

After Google podcasts stopped, I've tested many podcast apps across Android. The best was @antennapod.org, with all its options designed keeping the user in mind. Works smoothly, no pesky ads (how?!!!) and a great forum too.
I've switched over and never going back.

We're most certainly not out here to ruin data plans – why would we. As @skylorbeck.website noted, it's probably a specific 'real life collision'.

We're sorry to hear about this. That sucks indeed. Normally, when switching from WiFi to mobile internet the downloads should not continue, if you have not allowed downloads via mobile internet in the AntennaPod settings. Let's follow up over on GitHub.

If you're an #Android user struggling to find a good #podcast app (like I was), may I recommend @antennapod.org. It's #opensource and the UI is #adfree, which are two of my biggest #mobiletech priorities.

That said, if you open the bug report now, you'll see that it's been closed through a PR. So while we didn't update the label to 'confirmed bug' it was actually confirmed and fixed. Please bear with us until we get the next (bug fix) release out, and keep an eye out on updates.

The 'possible bug' label gets applied by default on new tickets when the reporter thinks something is a bug (while it could've been designed that way). The label is no judgement on whether a bug is critical or not. In fact, we don't have labels for severity or priority. 2/3

This year we made - with the great help of the design experts over at @freehive.com - a bunch of AntennaPod stickers. Logos, special contributor stickers, and ... Mike! And as of today, you have a chance to get them too!

We understand. We're currently going through our backlog of issues needing triage. We hope we can get back to you soon! (As written in our contribution docs, it's safer to create an issue before creating a PR.)
The issues we listed have been approved, though, so you won't run into the same problem.
