I like your style.
Don't let Trump get hold of this.
Nah! I need those filthy little footnotes right there at the bottom of the page.
Footnotes sell books - at least to me - so stop yer moanin. Flipping back and forth and hunting around is a complete passion-killer, even with two bookmarks.
Someone just shared this elsewhere. I've seen it a few times and it's wonderful, so I'm passing it on.

This pretty well describes my relationship with my neighbours and their bl**dy porch lights - except, none of us is God, as far as I know.
I was gonna reply to the first post saying, "There must be a factory somewhere, turning these guys out." But I see you've identified it.
I've been writing about Maponos, lately, so making lots of forays into the work of the French Celticists. But today I'm writing about Lleu, for a class tomorrow, so I got to visit Spain briefly.

Don't worry, I found more up to date references, too.

But why are there so many versions? Why do they keep evolving? And why do women never tire to telling this story to their daughters?

Rashiecoats! She can't cook, she can't sew, every man in the story wants a piece of her, and the handsome prince doesn't seem to be making great decisions. Fortunately, with the help of a hare, a henwife, and some talking birds, things begin to look up - or at least that's one version of the story.
Me too!
Oh, but Grugyn Silver Bristle was so beautiful, and such a great little spokespiglet!
Rashiecoats is much more than just "the Scotttish Cinderella". New class starts on Saturday. We had such a blast last year! Come join us.

Come join in this four-part exploration of "The Scottish Cinderella story" as we follow its roots and branches. Plenty of magic, and plenty of themes familiar to women today, also.

Posting this a little late in the day, but at least I remembered!

When I was a child my mother bought a hostess trolley. It looked insane in our cramped little house. But she'd spent the cash and insisted we use it all the time, bumping and scratching as we went. It was, in every way, a worse experience than just carrying stuff yourself. This is a post about AI.
I felt sure this was describing the current US president at first ...
Let's not forget that inveterate bandwagon-jumper Martin Shaw.

Well researched article. As I keep saying there are definitely cailleachs in Celtic language lore, but "The Cailleach" is a modern invention. www.marcus-pitcaithly.com/single-post/...

To bad about the paywall.
Along the top of a wood has swum
Thy coracle across ridges,
There is a wood of beautiful fruit
Under the prow of thy little skiff.
