This work is part of the AIE collection celebrating 25 years since BZ Tang’s seminal 2001 paper.
The Sabic olefins cracker in Teesside has been offline since 2020. It was being converted to run on ethane, but now will be closed. Meanwhile, a cracker in Böhlen will be shut down by the end of 2027, along with two other basic chemical plants.
