Farkas: F*ck it. Here's another Cowboys tent approved without any public consultation. (April 17)

Glad that you got to ride the path!
You can actually go straight instead of doing the alley; there is a little path the jobs right, though it's pretty narrow. A better connection would be great though.
Might be user-error on my part. Is there somewhere in settings that controls this?
Sunnyside tracks are good!
Doug is like the worst punishment.
So the city has completely "closed" the crossings on Jasper because the people in charge are fucking assholes.
Both sides of the intersections are blocked from 118st-120st.
Comical levels of incompetence from the city's supposed transportation experts.
#yeg
The school council can bring this up with CBE. We can also encourage parents to support active transportation.
But I will bring up the Sunnyside school bike lane issue with school council and the CBE.
Here is the city page on this.
www.calgary.ca/bylaws/snow-...
"In the spirit of being a good neighbour, please do not pile shovelled snow:
-On a road to the extent that it blocks access"
(And some other examples)
So, of there is an accident in the bike lane because snow was shovelled into it from the sidewalk, is there liability there?
I tried in Sunnyside! It was pretty rough in the afternoon with all the sidewalks shovelled into the bike lane.
Bike plow cleared in Sunnyside.
Ok, I out in time so that the sidewalks and roads hadn't been cleared into the bike lane. #yycbike
I did the two blocks east of 5a with the plow. Didn't have time for the rest.
Done!
What did you work on at NASA?
Also did the walks! But yeah. Too much snow shoveled into the bike paths.
Has the city gotten to the rest yet?
Magic is all about essentialism, so it makes sens that the magic school had that as well. #notandendorsement
However, the best part of the series, imho, was how school was an escape and an opportunity. Which it is, for lots of kids.
Cool!
Questions: Is anyone talking about bike insurance? Is this a fun place to bring an 8yo?
Or just secure bike parking.
breaking news red/blue headline on black POSTED SPEEDS ARE THE ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM NOT THE MANDATORY MINIMUM.
this just in.
I hate riding North mount; feels so unsafe.
Looks like it's pretty much all melted out. It was a scorcher today!
It seems that about 85% is reused for modern car washes. Seems like a lot of water is still used.
Here's the Google maps display of how busy Centex car wash is right now.
Roadies should learn to track-stand already!
I have been assaulted for doing exactly this. Like, "guy got out of his car, assaulted me" assaulted.
We must maintain alertness at all times so as to remain safe while our driver overlords are not inconvenienced by our injury or death.
It's mostly the responsibility of high-hazard road users, ie drivers. For example, expecting a 5yo to never make mistakes is a fantasy that results in dead kids.
And fewer dead pedestrians should be a priority here.
I got out to blade the snow today; the sidewalks were pretty easy, but the bike lanes were a bit tough in places. Might have worked with a e-fat-bike?
However, it turns out when it's too deep for me, the city's out there anyway! Go city!
Yep! Benno Boost. Great bike. For pulling a plow, it would actually be nice to have a shorter rear triangle - I feel like I need to put sand bags over the rear wheel some times.
