Thank you so much to all our contributors; this issue came together beautifully, and everyone's work helped with our mission of celebrating woman's best friend: the dog.
🐾
Also, thanks to contributor donations, we were able to give over $75 to rescues across the US.
Today is the day!

Canid Literary & Arts is here! You can check out Volume 1 as a flipbook or poke around over at canidpress.com/lit
“I am so bored by AI. One of the things I love about the theatre is AI can’t do it.”
Ethan Hawke is a dude 👌🏻
In the meantime, look out for category-specific posts following our digital publication day for a peak at the contributors and some of their work.
Thank you so much and we hope you enjoy this issue of Canid 🐾
The digital flip book copy of Canid Vol. 1 will release Friday, December 12, 2025, with a print issue available by the end of the year. Once we have more information from the printer, we will post an update (who would’ve thought this would be a busy time of year for book binders?)
With the publication of our first-ever, 2025 Journal approaching, we wanted to share with you some information about the upcoming issue:
Canid Literary & Arts Volume 1 will include the following categories: Poetry, Photography, Creative Nonfiction, Art, and Fiction.
Keep an eye out on our socials for information about the journal’s release—which should be some time in December—and we can’t wait to read your words!
🐾
Thank you to everyone who submitted work for consideration to Canid Literary & Arts Vol. 1!

a tricolor puppy is looking very self-assured. his chin is tilted up a bit and he’s looking at you out of the corner of his eye.
the small pup is contorted into a tangle on a white blanket. his booty is in the air, his pink toebeans on display, and his eyes wide because he’s done the unthinkable. the tip of his tail is in his mouth.
the little black pup with brown eyebrow dots and white feet sits on a wood floor and looks up with wide eyes. his mouth is open because he’s mid-scream.
This is Soybean. He's a little guy with a big personality, and we have a feeling only one of those things is going to change. 12/10 (IG: g.anjang2)
YES!!!!! We can’t wait to read it!
