As of today, November 13th, Starbucks employees are on strike until the company agrees to a fair contract. We are calling on everyone to stand in solidarity with Starbucks workers across the state as they walk out in the coming weeks. There are already 7 unionized stores in NC and more to come.

Congratulations to Braxton Winston for being elected the next President of the North Carolina AFL-CIO! The YDNC Labor Caucus looks forward to standing alongside President Winston as we continue to advocate for working people across North Carolina.

YDNC Labor Caucus wishes a happy Pride Month to all. Now and always, the labor movement stands in solidarity with our LGBTQ+ siblings. Working people are uniting to defend the love and joy that this month represents, and we won’t back down.

Last night YDNC Labor members, Aaron and Jailyn, joined AFGE staff to flyer and connect with AFGE Local 1770 members after the federal government took away their right to collectively bargain. We stand with them as this administration unleashes unprecedented attacks against their right to exist.

On this Workers Memorial Day, YDNC Labor joins our union brothers and sisters in mourning the losses this year. Safe jobs are a human right and every person deserves to come home from work.

Last night some of our members attended a NC AFL-CIO event in Asheville and got to hear directly from federal workers. We stand with our federal unions and will keep fighting!
