Starmer mimicking the far right with his call for Patriotic National Renewal is an appeal to voters out with Scotland. Our renewal, reform and future is in our hands if we have the courage to back Scotland's right to self determination as an independent country.

Celtic progress to the next round in comfortable fashion.

Tounekti the stand out.

Yang had a decent game too.

People in Scotland are best equipped to decide what kind of country we want - not Westminster politicians.

Just look at the disaster of Brexit, austerity and soaring energy costs under both Tory and Labour governments.

The real change we need is independence. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

When voting Labour in 2024 is this the "change" people wanted to see ?...I sincerely hope the same mistake isn't made when votes are cast for Holyrood with @AnasSarwar @ScottishLabour wanting to take us in a "new direction"...ie following @Keir_Starmer @UKLabour

65 countries have gained independence from the United Kingdom - and not one of them has tried to come back.

That’s because independence is normal.

Decisions for Scotland, made in Scotland. It’s a future worth voting for. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Doesn't matter why Cameron agreed to it. The constitutional precedent is established .

You don't really care what the answer is. I spelled it out .Just gets ignored . No point in wasting either of our time.

Hasn't been decided if the new party will contest Holyrood .

Unfortunately he thinks he can manage the British State turning it towards socialism instead of overthrowing it. The SNP like Ireland want to leave it thus rendering it impotent

Indeed it is .Today and every day prior to now.

Mind the time Labour had a leader who couldn't bring himself to use the word genocide when referring to Gaza.

One guy is right. The rest of those in the legal profession who hold pro Indy views are just brainwashed. I don't think so .

There is no credible evidence that the ballot and count were interfered with in 2014. Lots of spurious conspiracy stuff and " evidence" which did not stand up to scrutiny. Holyrood oversaw the Referendum process not Westminster. That was the whole point of a S30.

In 2011 the SNP had a majority Govt. In 2016 when tactical voting gained traction it was two seats short of a majority. In 2021 despite tactical voting it was one seat short. It currently holds 60 seats following divisions & one by election loss. It is not"impossible". As always the people will decide

The UK has no written constitution. It functions primarily on precedents.Westminster created a precedent on an independence referendum by agreeing a majority Holyrood Govt could hold the referendum which took place in 2014. It's not about"asking." It's the constitutional right set by precedent.

There are those who say the 2011 Election where the SNP won an outright majority on the basis of SNP 1&2 (under Alex Salmond) cannot be replicated. Of course it can if there is the same unity behind the SNP now as then. Unfortunately the pro indy vote is fragmented with "alternatives" being sought

The 2014 Ref on an 84% turnout on the basis of one person/one vote/one issue made it necessary to reverse the decision made by the sovereign people of Scotland (which only the people can do).2014 tragically legitimised the 1707 union when the people had no say.The 2014 vote to remain in UK won

Colin: No one is "asking Westminster nicely for Indyref2. Leave misrepresentation to Unionists.

Salvo is at the UN when no one else is......Think about that.Just Salvo. Why no one else??? ......with all the pro Indy legal talent which is available in Scotland (and internationally).

He didn't move subs towards Russia..He is trying to appear as a "strong leader". In reality he is out of his depth (no pun intended)...Nuclear armed subs are always"on patrol" at sea (*for obvious strategic reasons) and virtually untraceable

And be able to cite UN Human Rights Chief, Volker Türk as a witness who can define "terrorism" in international law.

Great news: the High Court has granted permission for a full judicial review of the government's order proscribing Palestine Action under the Terrorism Act.
Let's hope he government's idiotic and draconian order is overturned.

No strikes is Scotland yet again where nurses are paid more and have accepted the pay increase from the SNP led Scottish government

A higher level of independence support will not in itself force WM to accept a Referendum. A majority SNP Govt delivered by that support will...Our democratic right "hasn't moved an inch" because the pro Indy vote is fragmented & spread instead of emulating 2011....

People calling for peace, who wish no harm on anyone, risk arrest under the Terrorism Act, while the state terrorists perpetrating genocide are being protected from our free speech.

I don't know if they'll be ready..Corbyn has previously shown patience in creating solid foundations & he will want democratic structures in place..Something will be established prior to Holyrood 2026 but (unlike new parties)here I doubt they will plunge in(unless Labour defectors become candidates)

Cartoon - two people out walking dogs. One says "So what's up?" The other replies "Nothing much. Just ignoring genocide."
