And I mean I get it; that's part of what made Fortnite itself so enjoyable - it was endlessly reinventing itself in ways that didn't run deep but they were fun and if you didn't like the current systems they'll be wiped away for another bunch in a few months.

But that's not a way to run a company.

Putting aside the extraction shooter stuff, that piece on Epic really paints the picture of a company who has decided that 'more and faster' is the path forward rather than deciding to do any part of what it does particularly well
