A recreation of Akira Toriyama's work on the box art of the original Dragon Quest, featuring the hero clad in armor raising his shield in combat with a snarling dragon. This works deviates from the original, in that the dragon, warrior, bats (Drackies), and an added moon all have goofy slime faces instead. The satchel on the warrior's hip additionally has been turned into a Goodybag with a similar goofy face. There are three panels in total, each a unique recreation of the original work. The first is abstracted into two tones with purple and white paper, the second is a more detailed recreation with many different colors of cut paper, and the third is drawn in black pen with various precisely drawn textures and patterns throughout.

This is a piece I did in 2016 for a college art class, based on Akira Toriyama's work on the original Dragon Quest box art.
