I get we are not favourites, I'd imagine that is Man City, but outside of them we'd certainly be considered contenders given that Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea are all out.

To say we are "not contenders" seems a strange thing to say given we are certainly in the conversation as being the 2nd/3rd best team left in the competition and if we can beat a side struggling in the Championship at VP tomorrow will be in the last 8.

Yes I think I came back missing a couple of toes that night. They got the winner in injury time otherwise it would have gone to extra time and potentially penalties (it was a league cup quarter final) and finished around midnight.

I didn't go to that one mate so don't have the mental scars, or frostbite, to remind me 😀

Been going to Villa Park for over 40 years and must have been to around 1000 games and yesterday is the worst conditions I remember a game being played in. Anyone remember worse? for coldness I remember a night game against Liverpool in Dec 03 that was delayed & finished at 11pm and it was -6c #avfc

We are making it hard for ourselves at the moment as the way we set up means teams don't have to do a lot to expose us defensively. Better team than CP scores 4+ today.
Also thought the last subs killed us as we lost our momentum as Bailey was playing well and Rogers had started to impose himself.
