4 colorful fantasy paintings
If you're in the market for an old-school type of painted illustration, maybe I'm your artist?
These 4 pieces are gouache and/or watercolor on paper. I love making this kind of image.
I feel like dropping items on the floor in a discrete grid is also borrowed from dungeon crawlers, and that has stuck around.
Consoles don’t really have an underlying cohesive sound anymore, do they? Or maybe they do but it’s only the passing of time that reveals it.
Fun exercise: Imagine what Sheep Raider 'Track 7' sounds like, and then listen for yourself. #ps1 #psx

Maybe if I ignore him he will leave.
Hauntingly beautiful

Opening chess moves are kind of like fighting game characters in that you can pick something off-meta and still beat someone because you know the matchup better. There's even the extreme end of this with strategies that take advantage of a player not being aware of what's coming or how to counter.

The most toy games I can think of:
Falling Sand game, Beam NG Drive, Garry's Mod, Line Rider, Minecraft creative mode. These are more toy than game.
In contrast, most other games therefore not toy-like. So their existence almost precludes all games being toys, at least to me.
Moby Games screenshot of Fire Emblem: Awakening UI. The menu borders are precise to use all available space and the colors are hand picked.
Moby Games screenshot of Fire Emblem: Awakening UI. The 3DS's larger screen lets the UI go bigger. There's more font aliasing going on.
Here's 1 example with the Fire Emblem series from NDS to 3DS
I’m reaching but does anyone think :20 to like :28 sounds like the smash bros Melee OST specifically the part in the intro movie.
Actually I don't think that item alone does hitstop
Hit stop the way Smash Brothers handles it is nice. Whatever's going on with the Home Run Bat
Ok I respect new Bungie for wanting to make a complete start to finish game without umm microtransactions I think. Yeah the game looks cool.
I'm there day 1 when it goes free to play
Not sure if related but one way to thrive in DayZ is by not talking and staying low profile so just thought that was funny.
It's Trans Day of Visibility today. If you're trans and are raising money for something (I don't care what it is), reply to this thread and I will boost you.
If you are a cis person, take a look and find someone to support if you can.
Everyone give this a share after.
Wow nice sloshing with no mess & it's very expressive

I think this depends solo, partnered, or large team effort. Team effort: yes you should expand your comfort zone and do your part without concern for genre. As far as Joe's comment goes I think he's referring to solo/partnered projects; not 'don't do UI for Epic if you don't like Fortnite'.
Cambrian on my mind #sciart
It’s pretty cool the Nintendo DS was like the last console where pixel art was a mainstream point of consideration and not optional.
Not the 3DS though that’s where it seems scaled down images took over.

This is a great looking scene!
Browser playable Newgrounds game 'Spewer'. Definitely a platformer with what I'd consider a movement resource.
