I swear every time I open threads, it’s like walking into a room full of people for whom it’s their first day on Earth. Like, leave fanfic authors alone? I know it’s a lot of people’s first time in fandom and we all start somewhere but like… basic common sense?

I usually call it something like “I’m getting fancy” as some part of “modern millennial parenting a daughter thing” so that she doesn’t think make up is necessary to look pretty and it’s about making yourself feel good

The parenting is working - my husband complained about the sun getting in his eyes and my 7 year old sang “Blinded by the light” at him

Oh it was cool! The restaurant had historical documents to look at, and we all got boarding passes and assigned passenger names and then we got to eat the last first class meal on the Titanic! So much fish. Also, the bartender felt bad for carding my friend, but not me, so he did heavy pours. 10/10

I don’t remember my actual OFMD-versary, but I know it’s around this time 4 years ago because if I look at my 2022 photos I’m like “Oh I remember talking about OFMD waaaaaay too much at this joint birthday party. And Passover. And this pretend Titanic dinner…”
