The creature waits. Minutes? Years? It didn't know anynore. Didn't bother to know. "What are you waiting for?" the disembodied voice asked from inside the endless abyss they were in. The creature didn't respond, not at first. This has been the first time in... well, they didn't know how long, but first time in a while they've heard something in this void. "Something..." There was a note of hesitation.

"How long will you wait?" The creature went silent again towards the loaded question. How long have they waited? Time seems meaningless now. It looked down at it's feet, just as dark as the nothingness around them. "I don't know," it answered finally.

All this time all they've ever wanted was answers, answers to a question they didn't know how to ask. "I've been here so long, but..." They gaze off into the darkness as they trail off, looking at a few stars in the distance. "I don't even know what I'm doing here anymore." The voice that was once here is now silent, the creature doesn't even know if whoever spoke was still here, or merely a trick of the mind. As it stares at the endless stars before it and distant planets, a question tumbles around in its mind, one that's always been there. "Why am I... here?"

Finished the comic for my oc Obsidian :]

It hits pretty close to home. I feel like I've never really known what I wanted to do in life, and when I did figure it out I was too scared to put myself out there. I still am, but I'm getting better.
