Happy birthday, Tim. You may be the best that April 14 has to offer! And isn’t Gillian Welch a treasure? Oh my.

Hard to believe we still don’t know how much NB Power will be on the hook for over the next 25 years, but it’s certainly more than $50 mil. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
Must read from @andrewwaugh13.bsky.social on NB's secrecy problem. Tks to @poitrasj.bsky.social for the heads up about it. tj.news/new-brunswic...
Wonder if they are removed in winter?
Tantramar MLA Megan Mitton and Green leader David Coon are calling attention to the sorry state of regional public transportation in New Brunswick in a video recently posted to social media showing the pair of Green MLAs taking the train from Moncton to Sackville.

These folks will be at Local News Matters on June 14 in Sackville. You should come too!! bringbacklocalnews.ca
How can we save local news coverage in the Maritimes? That’s the question journalists, citizens, and media experts will try to answer on June 14 in Sackville, NB. Keynote speaker April Lindgren is just one of many experts who will join the symposium Local News Matters. bringbacklocalnews.ca
Why is there sewage running into a Washington creek?
What a great observation! Can we get AI to clean toilets? Now THAT would be something.
Where is this?
April Lindgren of the Local News Research Project will deliver a keynote, and we'll hear from lots of local news providers about what they are doing and how they are doing it. We will be posting schedule soon!
Local News Matters! We are hosting a symposium focussed on fostering more local news outlets in the Maritimes. Come to Sackville on June 14 to share ideas and make plans! bringbacklocalnews.ca
Any theories on what explains the difference?
US Supreme Court?
There must be loads of these already existing in the US. Go find them and support them. Reasonable dialogue is a lot more boring than outrageous diatribes. Send the boring stations some money.
Is there a lawyer out there who can explain to me why it's legal to deny a member of the public *who is a reporter or journalist* information that is required to be shared with any other member of the public? I attended a public meeting yesterday where I was not allowed to ask questions!
It’s back!
This thought crept in as it continued… haha
Thank god it’s back now. Can I blame Trump?
CBC in Sackville has been glitching for going on 12 minutes now. What the heck?
Thanks @poitrasj.bsky.social for noting the premier's 'turn off the news' comment. I nearly spit out my coffee when she said it! Turn off Meta, turn off Twitter, but folks, please don't turn off your hardworking news media!
Attn radio journos: I need help finding replacing Skype when it goes out of business in May. I've been using it to make phone calls and record separate tracks right into my audio editor, Hindenburg. I have Tape-A-Call on my phone as a backup, but far preferred Skype-Hindenburg. What do others use?
This story seems worth a rewatch, in light of recent Nova Scotia government efforts: www.cbc.ca/player/play/...
How about adding a daily NB newscast to CBC Listen on demand? It kills me when I miss the 5:30pm broadcast...
Wonderful! No issues with satellites in your images?
Wonderful! Can you also make daily local news available on CBC listen? It kills me that if I miss the 5:30 NB broadcast, I’m outta luck.
